I have been a ham since December 1973 when I was 15 years old. My first callsign was G8INR. I emigrated to the USA with my wife Caroline (KF6MOV) and our first two sons Thomas and Richard (KF6FPR) in August 1992. I have held the following callsigns in succession - KE6ZBZ, KQ6FR, AD6AY and now AD6A. I'm a big homebrew fanatic - there are details of several of my projects in the links above. I used to own a QRP ham radio kit company called Red Hot Radio - the kit information is archived at the link above.

I play keyboards and the trumpet, and I am learning to play the guitar. I have a wonderful home studio that has the recording quality you would expect from a top class professional studio where I compose and record smooth jazz (mostly).

I find woodworking very relaxing and satisfying and take great pride in the finish and quality of my work. I turn bowls, vessels, platters, pens, and pencils on the lathe, and make all kinds of jewelry chests, keepsake boxes and furniture. I am open to accepting commissioned work.
